Math fun!

Hi there parents and students!

As you all know mathematics is a very vital tool in just about everything we do, therefore I will be posting links, and games that I find meet curriculum expectations for grade 3 every so often.

The first link I found, relates to the geometry and spatial sense strand in grade 3.

One of the expectations in the curriculum documents states:

"By the end of Grade 3, students will
-solve problems requiring the greatest or least number of two-dimensional shapes (e.g., pattern blocks) needed to compose a larger in a variety of ways"

Click on the link below, and you will be directed to the "No Matter What Shape Your Fractions Are In" website: http://math.rice.edu/~lanius/Patterns/
